Our culture treats anxiety like an embarrassing itch — we know it’s there, but are hesitant to address it.

The stigma attached to anxiety makes those that experience it regularly want to hide it (and themselves!) from the world.

In this article, Shamash Alidina points out that in reality, stress and anxiety can become our allies, as long as we learn to accept them.
