A five-year study has shown that when those around you run more, you’re inclined to run more.
The study examined the exercise habits of more than one million runners across a five-year period.
“Knowing the running behaviors of your friends as shared on social networks can cause you to run farther, faster, and longer,” study author and Massachusetts Institute of Technology professor Sinan Aral said in an article on MIT’s Sloan School of Management website.
Now, that’s a contagion I hope becomes an epidemic!
