Have you noticed scarves tied around trees as you walk through your city?

They’re not cast-offs or forgotten pieces. These scarves have a meaning and purpose.

Numerous people from all around the world are taking their old scarves, or making handmade scarves, and place them around the trees in the city parks, light poles and neighborhoods.

The reason is not to make the trees more fashionable, the idea is to help homeless people in the upcoming freezing days. The warm scarves are left with messages like — “I’m not lost! Please take me with you if you are cold. They are free for use to any homeless who needs them.
