Photo of Young Man Helping Elderly Gentleman Down an Escalator Goes Viral
Sometimes it’s the smallest gestures that make the biggest impact. When 23-year-old Alonzo Johnson saw an elderly gentleman hesitating at the top of an escalator he didn’t think twice about offering his help.
The 83-year-old man told Johnson that he was scared to ride down as he’d been stuck on one once. Mr. Johnson gently took the gentleman’s arm and saw him safely to the bottom. Little did he know that his random act of kindness was caught in a photo and would go viral.
Nonetheless, he remains humble. These little kindnesses can effect changes that are further reaching than one can even imagine.
People can be mean but you don’t have to be.
