Death is a one-time affair that we all have in common. It’s the great equalizer, the ultimate certainty in life that we can’t escape. While the thought of death may be unsettling, it doesn’t have to be grim or morbid. In fact, by embracing our mortality, we can live our lives with more purpose and meaning, making it to the end with no regrets.

Embrace Your Mortality — It’s Not as Grim as It Sounds

Let’s get real for a second — kicking the bucket, pushing up daisies, biting the big one. Whatever euphemism tickles your fancy, it’s happening to all of us. But hear me out; realizing you’ve got an expiration date doesn’t have to be like sitting through the world’s most depressing TED Talk. It’s more like getting the inside scoop on living life to its absolute max. Think about it: acknowledging that you won’t be around forever is liberating. Suddenly, those long hours at the office or binge-watching the latest drama series (for the third time) seem less appealing than finally taking that salsa class or booking a one-way ticket to Nowheresville to find yourself. It’s about turning the “Oh no, I’m going to die!” into “Oh yes, I’m going to live!” So, let’s stop tiptoeing around the graveyard and start dancing to those potential regrets. Life’s calling, and it’s got a no-return policy.
